Taiaha – Individually Commissioned

This listing is for the 50% deposit toward your personally commissioned taiaha, created in collaboration with a skilled Māori artist and coordinated through Waiariki Jade.

Your taiaha will be individually handcrafted to the design we have discussed and agreed upon. Each piece is unique, with the final artwork, carving details, materials and finishing reflecting the agreed commission.

Your Commission Includes

• One custom-made Māori taiaha

• Individually designed and handcrafted by the commissioned artist

• Carving and design details based on the agreed concept

• Materials and finishing as discussed and approved

• Coordination between the customer, Waiariki Jade and the artist throughout the commission

• Final quality checking by Waiariki Jade prior to shipment

Deposit & Payment

The total agreed price for the commissioned taiaha is NZ$4,100.00

This product is the 50% deposit of NZ$2,050.00 required to confirm your commission and allow the artist to begin work.

The remaining NZ$2,050.00 balance will be payable once the taiaha has been completed and approved prior to shipment.

Important Information

As this is a bespoke, individually commissioned item, production will begin once the deposit has been received and the final design has been confirmed.

Because the taiaha is made specifically to your requirements, the deposit is non-refundable once the artist has commenced work, except where required by New Zealand consumer law.

The completed taiaha will be carefully inspected and prepared for international shipment.

International freight, customs duties, import taxes and any other charges imposed by the destination country are included in the commission price and are the responsibility of TRM Marks Limited T/A Waiariki Jade. 

However, the price stated in this quote are an estimate based on the best possible information at this time, and are subject to change if required and that cost will be passed on to the customer.
